The Lumber Baron

An independent film loosely based on the lumber industry in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The Cook-Rutledge Mansion, its Board of Directors, and everyone associated with the historic building are proud to have been involved in this project with such a wonderful production team and cast. 

The Lumber Baron is the winner of the Twin Cities Film Fest 2018 Audience Award.

"Wisconsin 1910. Heir to a failing lumber business, Daniel Rimsdale strives to recover his fortune and hold his family together, while rumors of a treasure left behind by his grandfather haunt him and incite fortune hunters to hound his path."
